Copy letter from J. E. Errington, 13 Duke Street, Westminster, to S. E. Bolden, Secretary to the Lancaster & Carlisle Railway Company, requesting further particulars before reporting his opinion on the question referred to him by the Committee. Errington asks to be informed of the precise amount proposed to be lent (with interest); the probable amount of mileage in half the proposed period of the loan; an estimate of the Lancaster & Carlisle Railway’s own stock and workshops; the table drawn up by Mr Worthington on the cost of locomotive power on other lines; and any other recent information obtained on the subject.
