Local agricultural prize system report

'During the past season an effort has been made to introduce the system of house-feeding stock on green food in Summer amongst the farmers of this neighbourhood by giving prizes for the best managed farms, on which the feeding of a few cattle in this way forms part of the system.' 'The Committee hope also to be able to assist farmers in obtaining loans from the Board of Works for works of improvement'. Secretary of the Committee is T. Rochford, of Ballyanny, Nenagh.
