Montgomerie Neilson, from the Technical College Offices, 98 Bath Street, Glasgow, with Robert Frame, Esq., as secretary. First section is details of the preliminary Prospectus of the Glasgow Technical College. Neilson argues for higher profile for technical education, separate from science education. Second section is titled 'Technical Education and our Existing Institutions'. It opens: 'the great majority of our people, or in fact all our people, it is now admitted, ought to have more or less Science instruction'. Third paper is titled 'Substance of a Paper on "In what way, and at what stage, can technical instruction be best introduced into our national system of education?' Was read at a meeting of the Social Science Association in Glasgow, 1874. Details how to incorporate technical education into a national system of education. Price sixpence.
