Manuscript letter, single folded sheet, on notepaper headed "Peace, Ackerley & Co. Solicitors", dated 31st January 1882, from Mr Peace to Prof Roscoe at Owens University Manchester. Titled 'Wigan Mining School' but referring to Wigan Mining and Mechanical School. Peace apologises for the delay in sending Roscoe the information he had requested due to issues with the post in Nottinghamshire. He notes that the memorandum sent should be amended to include the word 'Chemistry' as one of the subjects given special attention by the school. Peace also invites Roscoe to visit the school. Created in Wigan. Additional and written note, top left hand corner "Written 2nd Feb".
