Pamphlet with blue cover, outlining the syllabus taught at the school based at lecture rooms at Hope Street Schools, Wigan. Larger and more expansive in detail than similar documents of previous years. Subjects taught include: Mining ("Shafts and Levels", "Ventilation of mines, why important"), Steam and The Steam Engine ("Early History of the Steam Engine...Archimedes 250BC"), Mechanical Drawing, Building Construction, Acoustics, Light and Heat etc. Printed in Wigan by Richard Platt ("Caxton" Works Standishgate and Millgate) in 1880.
