The industrial employment of women in France compared with England

A paper read at the Social Science Congress, Cheltenham, 1878. 'Among the numerous social questions of our time that are pressing for solution there is scarcely one more important than the industrial employment of women.' Recommends establishment of specific training schools for certain trades. Must be self-supporting with moderate fees to be charged. Calls for an organisation of manufacturers and managers of training schools. Printed in London by Spottiswoode and Co., New-Street Square and Parliament Street. Signed 'With Author's Compliments' in black ink and 'G R Redgrave' in red pencil. Red pencil annotations throughout by Redgrave.
