Memorandum of Mr Peace's evidence

Manuscript on ruled paper. The author outlines the history of the founding of the school, the subjects taught and number of students. There is a margin note that states "Mr Peace will hand in tabulated statement showing this" (possibly referring to the tables in the bundle). Author goes on to describe how the school is supported financially, the background of students, the erection of a school building, and mentions how the "depression in trade in the district" has affected the school committee's plans. No date, no author but the handwriting matches that of Maskell Peace from another manuscript letter in the bundle. 4 pages, 330mm x 205mm. A 'copy-pressed' copy of this manuscript also exists in this bundle.
