A report on the Annual Meeting October 5th 1880 where the activities of the school and events of the year were outlined. In the report it's noted that "attendance at some of the lectures did not average more than half the number who had given in their names" and urges student to attend a minimum of 20 lecture or be disqualified from prizes. The extension of the school building is mentioned, only the site for it has been purchased but "it is hoped that when trade revives the matter will be proceeded with". Various transcribed speeches by the Chairman, Alfred Hewlett, Maskell Peace. Printed in Wigan by Wall ("Observer" Office, Wallgate) in 1881.
