Single sheet, printed generic letter dated 24th February 1881 from J.P. Phythian notifying recipient of the distribution of prizes by the Earl of Derby on the evening of 3rd March to 17th March 1881. Letter says a 'Prizeman's' ticket is enclosed, which requires them to sit in a specific place in the hall and to be 'on the platform by the time your name is called'.
