Series is comprised of campaign strategy and guidance, conference papers, press notices from local councils and mobilised groups, documentaries stored on CD-ROM, press releases, press cuttings, website printouts, and research papers and reports. Contents broadly address the impact of transport on environmental and public health in the United Kingdom, and contents use contemporaneous terms such as carbon emissions, greenhouse gas, CO2 reduction, and sustainable development. Topics include carbon, congestion charging, pollution, healthy transport, aviation (including Heathrow maintenance and expansion works), lead in petrol, carbon, and the parliamentary initiative of eco-towns, collectively spanning the years 1979-2010.

- Access is given in accordance with the NRM access policy. Material from this collection is available to researchers through Search Engine. All researchers must sign data protection forms as a large percentage of the collection contains personally identifiable and sensitive information. Contents diverging from this policy are described at file/item level where personally identifiable information or materials subject to the 20-year rule for government documents is identified. Research requests for these materials will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.
