File comprises four bundles of printed materials (1982-1983) which include a summary of the Serpell report, correspondence with Transport 2000 members and stakeholders such as Reg Harman, Nick Lester, Terrestrial Environment Studies and Transport and Environment Studies, Committee on the Review of Railway Finances, typed campaign strategy on formation of local groups, evidence to Serpell inquiry, typed campaign strategy, initial reaction and press releases of Transport 2000, lists of campaign plans, typed documents on impacts and effects of Serpell report, annotated copies of "British Railways (Serpell report)", and press cuttings and photocopied news articles about the Serpell report's public reception and publication.
