File is comprised of consultation papers, correspondence, and press notices produced by Transport 2000, Greater London Council Transport Committee, Labour Party and Yorksire County Council on lorry action areas, lorries in York, heavy lorry controls and compensation claims, and lessening the impact of lorry traffic (1982-1990); correspondence and press notices from DHL, Royal Mail, The Body Shop, Stephen Joseph, Lane Group PLC, Freight Transport Association, and others which discuss environmentally conscious goods transport protocols and progress of innovating goods transport to be more environmentally friendly and economical at a local level (1982-2004); and minutes from 1997 meetings of the industry and local government partnership (1993-2000).
