Letters, questionnaire, press releases and strategy papers relating to the A259 Bexhill and Hastings bypass
File is comprised of three bundles regarding the campaign history around the A259 Bexhill to Hastings bypass. Bundle one contains letters from the East Sussex local group of Transport 2000, the Wider View Group, Andrew Lohmann, and others, press releases produced by Transport 2000, questionnaire on multi-modal roads studies, report comments, and typed lists of key points relating to the A259 Bexhill to Hastings bypass, the Access to Hastings study produced by Steer, Davies and Gleave, progress of producing multi-modal study for the area of East Sussex where the bypass was proposed, John Prescott's response to the bypass, and similar topics (1999-2006). Bundle two contains press releases, press cuttings, and letters produced and collected by Transport 2000/Campaign for Better Transport, Leigh, Day and Co., Brighton and Hove Council, and SEERA (2001-2007), which relate to the bypass, the Access to Hastings study, legal action against John Prescott, and similar topics (2001-2007). Bundle three contains papers on the Local Transport Plans Funding Bid for Bexhill to Hastings link road (2004).
