One file is comprised of one bundle of of typed and printed letters produced by Stephen Joseph, Brian O'Donnell, and Department for Transport and addressed to Stephen Joseph, Charles Secrett of Friends of the Earth, Jacqui Wilkinson of Department for Transport, Tom Wright of Visit Britain, and Leslie Packer of the Department of Transport, Local Government and the Regions (1996-2004), which discuss various transport and roads-related topics, including the road traffic reduction bill, a car-free leisure network, the tourism without traffic report, carbon trading and railfreight, promoting travel plans to employers and rail freight, additions to the trunk road programme, and the environmental impact of road traffic. Appended items include one press releases produced by Transport 2000 on bypasses, one information sheet on the road traffic reduction bill, and one photocopied news article on roads to ruin.
