Printed documents relating to the 1986 inquiry on the planning appeals system in the United Kingdom

One bundle of materials that comprise of typed draft and final versions of a response to the inquiry by Transport 2000 and Friends of the Earth with manuscript notes and edits, one joint memorandum produced by Transport 2000 and Friends of the Earth Limited to the House of Commons Environment Committee inquiry into the operation of planning appeals system including public inquiries into major planning development proposals (1986), letters produced by Denise Carlo on behalf of Friends of the Earth, Susan Hoyle on behalf of Transport 2000, and staff of Planning Aid for Londoners, Department of Transport, Cornwall Transport 2000, London Planning Aid Service, The Ramblers, Railway Development Society, and others (1986-1988), which discuss an inquiry into the planning appeals system and trunk road schemes, with local groups' input and feedback on these topics.
