File is comprised of printed materials relating to Transport 2000's Rat Run and Crossing Roads (It Makes Me Cross) competitions (2003-2004), two crowd-sourced testimonial competitions aimed at drawing attention to the most dangerous streets for pedestrians. Materials comprise of filled and blank entry forms, children's drawings, photographs, printouts of email correspondence and digital photographs diagramming poor walking conditions, press coverage, press releases, and typed correspondence. Materials relate to the promotion and selection process of deciding the worst road crossings in England and Wales for under-16s and of the worst rat run road in England and Wales, and describe lack of zebra crossings, pedestrian safety, accessibility for wheelchair users and the elderly, speed of drivers along said roads, and other criteria contributing to the road's consideration as a rat run or poor road crossing. Materials are largely produced by entrants and Transport 2000, although there are some samples of correspondence from local councils relating to the competitions.
