File is comprised of nine bundles of printed materials relating to strategy for rail (1982-2012), including correspondence produced by Richard Pout, Jonathan Bray, Railway Development Society, Paul Salveson, and Ray Bentley (Plymouth Department of Regeneration), comments on budget cuts to Strategic Rail Authority in government ten-year plan; long term rail strategy papers from rail environmental workshop, rail investment options with Transport Activist Roundtable, papers from a Parliamentary Rail Seminar of National Union of Rail, Maritime and Transport Workers (RMT) on rail and sustainable transport; correspondence with Jonathan Bray and Stephen Joseph on rail revival and regional rail study; call for feedback on Railway Development Society paper on Getting Britain Moving and protecting abandoned railway stations; letter from Roger Freeman regarding rail freight policy; and a printed presentation on urban rail. One bundle of typed and manuscript letters produced by Transport 2000 to Members of Parliament relating to a rail strategy and future of railways in the United Kingdom (1982-2000). One bundle of printed materials produced by Cat Hobbs, Stephen Joseph, and others (2007-2012), including printed meeting notes, printed tables of rail ticket fares, strategy papers for rail in the North, and printed email correspondence which discuss financing of public transport and spending strategy for rail transport.
