File comprises fourteen bundles of printed materials relating to the Platform public transport campaign (1991-2004), a campaign associated with addressing the rail landscape post-Railways Bill 1990, including privatising rail, the development of franchises, and the impacts to access, ticketing, and the closure of stations and lines, particularly in rural areas. Materials are produced by Transport 2000, ACRE, Department of Transport, Eurotunnel, Steer Davies Gleave, Strategic Rail Authority, National Council of Women of Great Britain, and others.

Includes press and news releases on Platform's activities, including a jazz funeral demonstration around privatisation and franchising; correspondence and strategy papers on campaign actions; minutes from meetings with the core organisers and environmental groups; invoices, blank partner renewal form; policy statements, campaign strategy papers, and papers relating to design of the literature and logo; strategic papers on Labour's ten-point plan for the railways, events, discussion papers, meeting notes, "Rethinking Stations and Interchanges" event write-up; and press releases from and correspondence with the Strategic Rail Authority.
