One file is comprised of press releases and briefings from Transport 2000 and joint press releases with Friends of the Earth and other environmental groups (1990-2008), which discuss the environmental challenges of road transport, Tony Blair's position on aviation, the Rural White Paper 2000, an Environmental Select Committee, embedding transport in policy and the ten-year plan (2000), aviation and the opening of a new terminal in Heathrow, carbon emissions, climate change, the Environmental Audit Committee, fuel taxes, passenger aviation taxes, publication of the Royal Commission on Environmental Pollution report on Transport and the Environment outlining the report contents and government reaction (1994), and a 2007 study published by Gauderman et al. in The Lancet relating to the health effects of traffic.
