One file is comprised of five bundles of draft and final versions of typed letters to and from Stephen Joseph, Cat Hobbs, and other members of Transport from and to various Members of Parliament, including David Cameron, Therese May, Eric Pickles, Ian Philps, Ed Vaizey, Ruth Kelly, Alistair Darling, Philip Taylor, Boris Johnson, and others (2002-2016), which discuss various pieces of legislation, spending reviews, ten-year plans, white papers, and other proceedings and the author's position on these, especially concerning the consideration for integrated transport, local road schemes, traffic reduction and reduction of car dependency, the Climate Change Programme, freight, regional transport strategies, Stephen Joseph speaking at a civil service conference, the Thameslink project, overcrowding and the provision of additional carriages to facilitate public transport at peak times, comprehensive spending review, rail investment, investment in buses, pending planning applications, the Fair Fares Now campaign, strategic road networks and road building plans, and similar topics.
