Dear Sir
I have submitted your favor of the 11th [illegible] to the Consideration of the Committee appointed for conducting the business [illegible] a Canal or Railway in this Neighbourhood [illegible] as it appears the [illegible] will not be of the [illegible] for a month or 6 weeks to come so as to a [illegible] of the necessary levels being taken have desired nobody to be informed by you in the mean time what wo’d be the notable expense of taking the levels by a person employed by you whether should you have occasion to be in this Neighbourhood on other business in the course of next month they can have an opportunity of conferring with you personally
