Rennie writes a brief letter to Raisbeck to accompany a ‘short report and estimate of an Iron Railway’, which he hopes ‘will meet the wishes of [the] gentlemen’. Rennie’s costings are not present among these papers, but Raisbeck must have seen them as has used Rennie’s calculations to write a draft notice to the public, outlining the findings and intentions of the committee.
