Urges the railway's committee based in London to resign and a local committee to be formed in its place. Includes reprinted correspondence from shareholders to the committee calling on them to resign. A postscript gives arrangements for a special meeting to be held to appoint successors. Criticises the former committee thus: '...so confused and varying have been the late details and amounts of money stated by them to be requisite for the purposes of the undertaking and to meet their liabilities, that we feel it quite impossible to understand or reconcile them. Printed in Stockton-on-Tees.
