Memorandum that this eleventh day of March 1791 John Stapylton Raisbeck agreed to let to Mess’s Thomas Simpson & Company and they agreed to take the Wharf or Quay called the Sugar house Quay in Stockton with the Crane House & Crane, & the two Sheds or Buildings created & standing upon the said Quay, the passage & shed leading from the said Quay into the Sugar house, the Compting house built now past the said passage, the Room lately used for grinding of Sugar called the Mill Room, the Cellar or Warehouse used by the late Sugar house Company as a Coalhouse & the Warehouse in the Sugar house above the fill house to infer the 12th of May next and to hold subject to two Months Notice by either part – at the Rent of fifteen pounds a Year clear of deductions.
