A letter protesting against the bill for the branch railway. It is addressed to the management committee of the Stockton and Darlington Railway Company, but on the reverse side it shows that the letter was posted to Leonard Raisbeck, 18 Princes Street, Hanover Square. This might have been his address whilst staying in London[?]. The objections raised in this letter are similar to those expressed in the handwritten draft letter written by Grimshaw [?]. Attached to the letter is a black seal, en placard, with an image of a hare.
