Material accumulated by Timothy Hackworth, son of Timothy Hackworth
All letters in this series are sent to Timothy Hackworth Jr from his father Timothy Hackworth Sr. Letters are all sent in 1848 and show Timothy Jr and his brother John Wesley Hackworth’s involvement in his father’s business at Soho Works. Correspondence describes work on orders for the London and Brighton Railway Company, some showing general difficulties that the Hackworths were facing with the order. The series also includes that probate of the will of Timothy Hackworth Jr. This describes how his belongings were distributed to his family and friends after his death in 1856.
