Esteemed Friend
T. Hackworth
I am informed that a deputation is coming from Liverpool to see our way but more particularly to make enquiry about Locomotive Power – have the engines & men as neat & clean as can & be ready with thy calculations, and only showing one [?] saving but how much more work they do in a given time. – have no doubt but then will do thy best to have all sided & in order in thy department.

Thy Sir
Edwd Pease
