Regarding settlement of the estate, ‘concerned about our affairs remaining so long unsettled’ Timothy Hackworth (jr) and John Wesley Hackworth have rendered their accounts and are anxious that business is brought to a close. Refers to borrowing money and being indebted. ‘Tim [Timothy Hackworth (jr)] is sinking fast’, worried about Tim’s increasing illness and Mrs Ambler’s [Ann Ambler (nee Hackworth)] ‘future whereabouts’. Asks Greener to burn the letter as soon as it is read.
