The ‘bogie’ engine that Timothy Hackworth (Sr) invented in 1813 with eight wheels, ‘the invention for which the Americans claim for Mr John B Jarvis’; Mr Penn is credited with Timothy Hackworth (Sr)’s invention of the ‘Trunk’ or ‘Bain [?] engine’; Mr Napier of Glasgow presented Timothy Hackworth with a ‘Scotch Mill’ and patented the multitublar [sic] fire tube.
