Mr Timothy Hackworth
Dear Sir
We are sorry to inform you that we fear your new Locomotive Boiler which we are making is a patent of Napier’s of Glasgow. We have discovered in the “Repertory of Arts” for this month and have sent the particulars to Mr J Pease Junr and hope we shall soon have advice on the subject, as we cannot proceed with the Tubes will we hear from you. We have also sent the general plans of the Engine.
