Mrs Brewsher has let Prudence a pew in the chapel, news of family friends getting married/engaged, Mr Butler and Mrs Parker of Stag House, Miss Simpson and Mr Horton, lack of good gospel service in Belgium, John Wesley Hackworth has had a son, talks of other pupils at school laughing at Jane’s mistakes ‘pity her or them. And may God forgive them’ is sorry that Jane can not find kindred spirits at school, suggests that she visits Mrs Boyle in Bruges. Extract from illustrated Belgium.
