August 26th 1831 Reports made to the Stockton and Darlington Railway Commettee.
August 25th 1831
Ralph Hall came past the siding and would not go back; but lay dowen and stoped the line upwards of an Houre; and Stopped 2 Ingines and several Horses; he told the men before I came up to them he did not care for being Fined; so I ordered Both Him and his Horse [struck through] of the to be turned of the Road and not to be Imployed any more

Mr George Dixon of Cockfield has been in the habit of making use of the Companeyes Waggons for the purpose of leading his Coals from his Coal pit at Cockfield fell to his Ingine Without leave from this Company or any of there Agents Reported by George Stephenson
{Stephenson to find out how much coal he has led & send to the office a charge tonnage of use of waggons}
I have set upwards of 80 ¾ Chaldron Waggons of the way which were used for leading Ballast and I have found that the Chaldron Waggons belonging the Company are [struck through] can lead as much Balast as the way Requires and
