April 8th Wm Baister & Joseph Howden for taking their waggons to Stockton with there axels shearing for want of Oil { 5/- Baister } –

Gentlemen
in obeadence to your orders of Last week, respecting the Engines Halling the Coaches and Carriers waggons
I have giving it A due consideration and it appears from the account of Tons from Stockton to Darlington the average is 38½ Tons per Day; and from Shildon and Darlington to Stockton 15½ Tons per Day
