Octr 26th 1833, Reports made to the Stockton and Darlington Railway Commettee by John Graham

October 25th as the Coach Train was going down near Earley Nook about 6 O Clock at Night the Engine Overtook Pearceys Man Traveling with his waggon without A Light run upagainst him and through the Engine and Train off the Way, Refference to bye Law 16th


decided – that Dickenson be removed to the Black Diamond Engine, fined, half the amount of the Damages, to be allowed by 1 £ p Month out of his Wages until paid

As the Hope Engine was coming out from Yarm, The William 4th Engine was desending at the same time, and on account of the Mistey morning which prevented the Men from seeing each other; the William came in contact with the Hopes Waggons and was throwing off the way into the Gutter, the Coal Tender Very mutch Broke Engine Little Worse
