Octr 9th 1835, Jno Graham Reports to the Commettee

Octr 7th As Thomas Glass the Bank Rider was Bringing 8 Loading Waggons Out of South Durham Colliery Branch the way being wet at the time, T Glass Could not Hold them he got 5 drags put into the Wheels and Rode upon one of the Brakes down the Bank but Could not bring them up untill they came in contact with the waggons Standing at the Foot of the Plain; Damage Near 5 £

Damage don to the waggons at New Port Reported Last week about 6 £

Agreable to the Orders of Last week, respecting the best plan for Fixing the Coupling Chains to the waggons J G has giving it due consideration and has brought a Small Model of the Plan he would Recomend the Company to adopt

Wm Brown & Jno Greathead Engineman & Fireman, Brought a woman of Ill Fame from Stockton to Shildon, it was about 10 OClock at Night when they Left Stockton and She was kept in one of the Cabins untill the next Day
