March 23d 1832; Reports made to the Stockton and Darlington Railway Company by John Graham

March 17th
David Stephenson George Stephenson Joseph Stephenson George Hunter Joseph Garnett Thomas Ward Thomas Walton John Farthing all went up the main Line between Wiley Hill and Coddling Bridge with the Intention to pass No 4 Engine while she was Traveling at the Rate of 6 miles per Houre; and Danil Stephensons waggons and the Engine met at the End of the Siding and sent the Engine off the way and Bent one of the Rods and Stoped the Line an Houre; And Stoped all Charls Laws men for working in his Cut 2 Houres

March 17th 1832
Mr Crows Son opened the Gate when No 8 Engine was Coming up within 20 yards of the Gate and Drove the Beast across the Railway the Engine man had not time to stop his Engine being so near and killed 2 Cowes

March 19th 1832
John Hutchinson belonging Aycliffe was traveling upon the Railway between the 2 Ways Down Darlington Run at the time one of the Engines was Assending and he steped into the main way not aware of the Loading Waggons Dessending which knocked him down between the Rails and passed over him but the axels of the Horse Carrage being low Brused him so very sore that he died the same Night
