John Graham Reports
That he is not prepaired to recomend the Company to go to Any further expence for the Supply of Water upon the Crook Branch at Present the Springs we have are unsertain not having been proven whether they Continue during the Summer

Feb 16th 1844
The Owners of St Helens Colliery, Having Complained of there Coals being much Damaged by the Railway Co Teaming them into a Depot at Darlington unprotected from the Weather J Graham Reports that he has Inspected the above depots and finds that those Coals are put into one open at the Top exposed to the weather and also Subject to Water from the Railway, J G begs to inform the Commettee that one of the Best depots are taking up with Seymour Splent and has been all Winter, for the protection of Coals in those Depots
