Octr 31st 1834, Reports made to the Stockton & Darlington Railway Commettee by John Graham

Gentlemen
An Additional Siding is very much wanted at Brusselton East Bank Foot for the Loading waggons, I have [illegible] it to Mr Storey who sees the need of it.

I also beg leave to inform you that Mathew Parvin Guard of the Shildon Coach has neglected his duty very much Latly, by not going over the Hill with the Coach at Night, and has neglected twice this week to go and bring the Coach away from

St Helens at Mornings. One Night Last week a Passenger got his Head Sore Cut with the Flang of the Engine Drum on account of having no Light with the Coach, this was Reported to me by Mr Ge Dixon, he further said that he would Raither walk to St Helens as Ride with the Coach without a Light it being so dangerous, Mathew was Present when Mr Dixon gave the above Information I Charged him never to do so again, the very next Night he neglected going wi the Coach himselfe over the Hill neither did he send a Light with the Coach, The Consequence
