Since [struck through] Hackworth & Downing took the Plains

Hutchinson of Heighington whos Son was an apprentice to the Company Lost his Leg with the Engine near Goospool about 18 months ago Begs Leave to inform the Commettee that he has had his Son at School Since that time and is very much improved in his Learning and he is desirous of having him placed under the Company

John Graham has inquired of Kilburn & Labron what they would undertake to deliver the Goods for per Ton at Bishop Auckland Brought By the Railway Kilburn offers to take them from his ware House at the Black Boy Branch End to Auckland for 5/- per Ton
Labron offers to take them from St Helens to Bp Auckland for 3/4 per Ton
It appears that the Carryers by the Road Charges 15/- per Ton for Heavy Goods and Light Goods more

About 18 or 20 Coupling Bars are much wanted for the Carrage waggons going with the Coach Train
