February 1st 1833, Reports made to the Stockton & Darlington Railway Commettee by John Graham

January 24th William Gill when he was putting his Engine Back of the main way onto the Siding at the hid of Stockton Cut Broke both Collums of his Engine by Running upagainst his own waggons; he had not left Room to pass {report the damage}

The Fitters are very much in the habit of taking waggons that has been ticketed for Exportation and Delivering them at Bowsfield Lane and Stockton Turnpike; without making any Return to the Collectors; there has been 95 waggons Delivered at the above places the Last month, which Knox has got account of by Chance; I am led to belive

that there has been A defrad [defraud?] in the Tonnage by waggons being Delivered as above mentioned; To avoid this as much as possable it would be advisable to Stop any more for being Delivered at Bowesfield Lane or at the Stockton Turnpike, but to make all go to the Depots

January 29th 1833
