November 22nd 1833, Reports made to the Stockton and Darlington Railway Commettee by John Graham
A young man Belonging to Darlington the name of Chapman got on to the Coach at Darlington and rode to Oak Tree Battrey, when Mathw the Coachman was gethering the Fairs the young man told him he had no money, Mathew Ordered him off when the Engine was going Very Quick he was throwing dowen and the Coach Wheels Passed over his Arm
We have been very badly suplied with Engine Power this week yesterday we were reduced to 5 Engines we ought to have Led at Least 600 waggons more

Nov 28th 7 Empty waggons got away down the Black Boy North Bank and are very much Broke
the 8 Waggons were standing where they usualy stand at the Top of the Bank, the Rope was put to the last waggon and the Chocks and Drags taking out; the cupling chain and side chains had been taking off the Last waggons next the Rope
Nov 26th Robert {2/6} Craggs and Shorts Driver {2/6 ea off} [illegible] for Carring Passengers & Parcels on the Middlesbro Line and Receiving Pay, Reported by James Brown Coachman
