May 24th 1833, Reports made to the Stockton and Darlington Railway Commettee by Joh. Graham

The trade has gon on very well all this week, and we have been very well suplied with Engine Power

May 22nd
The Grass by the side of the imbankment near Fighting Cocks was set fire to by William 4th Engine John Sidgwick must answer to this as he was upon the Engine at the time; There has been no other Fires this week

Gentlemen
In Obeadence to your orders I have tried 3 Engines with South Durham Coals; and the Cinders produced by them is Heavier and Smaller then the Coals which have been generly used; But own to the sulphur and earthey particles contained in them causes them to Slag and destroy the Bars _____________________________
