As Robert Pickering with the Expearement Engine was following the North Star up near to Carter Lane; the North Star had to Stop to let the Horse waggons put Back that was traveling before him; Pickering not being on the look out Ran upagainst the Waggons and Broke the Engine Damage {Pickering to pay W Kitchgs bill 1.3.1}

Our Engine men has behaved very Indifferently this week by not exerting themselves to suply the Trade when requested; they have had an understanding amongst themselves not to go more than
