Decr 13th 1833, Reports made to the Stockton & Darlington Railway Commettee by John Graham
Decr 7th A seareous accident Hapened at the water House near Black Boy Branch one of the Plate Layers the Name of Robert Hogg was assisting to stop some Loading waggons and was Crushed to Death between the wall of the water House and the Waggon; A Corners inquest was held and verdict accidental death Deodand 1/- on Mr Pratmans Waggon
The water in the well at Black Boy Branch when Pumped close down is very thick on account of about 3 Feet of Clay being in the Bottom of the well, This ought

to be taking out and the well walled on to the stone Head which would keep the water Clear and for for the Engines at all times, and as the present Bulding and Ceastern are in A very Bad Coming down state and too Small I would therefore recomend the Company to put up A Good Large Ceastern as there is A Good suply of water which would be A Considerable Saving to the Company as they are now paying 25/- per week for Pumping at Night
Decr 9th A Rail Broke near Aycliffe Lane the Engine and Tenders got safe over, But 11 Wheels of the waggons was Broke
