June 27th 1834 Reports made to the Stockton and Darlington Railway Commettee by John Graham

The Engineman Reported by the Chairman for Blowing of his Steam Last week was James Gladding, he told me his Steam was blowing off before he met the Carrage and for fear of the Horses Taking Fright he keept down Bothe the Valves with his Hands untill the Horses got Past and then Left go

The Water at Goospool is quite done, we have tried one of the Long Engines with the Middlebro water and it answers very well

Hackworth & Downings agreement for Pumping the water at the Black Boy Branch to be Refered to

The Shildon Engine got out of the Shade on Tuesday Night, when the Wilberforce went in and on examining the Tube it was found to be very sore Cracked Mr Hackworth and J Graham thought Best to Take it out and Put in the Other Spare Tube
