January 19th 1838

John Graham Reports to the Committee
On the Evening of Saturday Last one of the Wheels upon the Swift Engine came Loose at the Head of Stockton Cut the Tender & Luggage Carriage was throwing off the Way, the Cleaveland & Primer Coaches was Slightly damaged it Fortunately hapned that no one was Hurt

On Monday morning nearly all the Feed Pipes upon the Locomotive Engines were Froze & Split and also all the Watering Stations was fast on account of the Intense Frost the preseding Night

On Wednesday morning Last One of the Wheels upon the Sunbeam Engine Tender Broke near the Head of Darlington Run, the Coach keept the Way so that no Further Damage was done

On the Same Day the Lord Durham [underlined] Engine Broke a Peston & Cylinder

On Thursday morning the Sunbeam Engine [underlined] was throwing off the way at the Darlington Coach Station switches no damage done

A Searious accident nearly happned the Weardail Coach yesterday whilst passing the Plane through the Carlessness and inatention of Thos Glass
