May 19th 1837
John Graham Reports to the Commettee

The Coach Engine has been detained at Shildon Three different Times during the week for want of Water

The Waggons halling into the Black Boy Branch has also been much neglected this Week. Thos Hackworth is the Contractor for the above work

J G has been obliged to Chaing J A Bell as he was feared of an accident in passing the Incline plain with the Coach J G has giving T Glass the above work to do

The first Class Train has been much detained by the Engines having been Out of Order[.] One Wheel on the Swift Engine was worn flat which J G beleaves has been the caus of Breaking many of the Rails { are now repaired }
On Tusday Last 8 Waggons Marked Charles Barrett Cockerton Norwood Colliery was brought to Thickley Weigh. Pay was demanded by J Glass for Tonage and Haulage & which was refused the waggons in consequence was Stoped and Halled back out of the way { and yet remain there HP }
