On Friday last the tube of the Middlesbro Locomotive Engine was destroyed by inatention of Michl Law Engineman having the Boiler nearly Dry

On Tusday Last 17 Laden waggons and a Large Mettle Beam Came amain down the Black Boy Plain Damages about 35£

J Graham Reports that he has been put in Possetion of the Number of Waggons Sent from Old Etherley and Lands Collieries; Total Number over one Mile is 134591 waggon during the year 1842,__
JG has taking the Cost of Oiling Waggons upon the Line in both Summer and Winter which he Makes Out to be .0115 per Waggon per Mile 134591 x .0115 = £6-8s-11d
