J Graham Further Begs to Call the Attention of the Commettee to the Coupling Chains and would Strongly recomend the Company to impress upon the Minds of the Coal Owners the Necessity of keeping all there Chains fast to there waggons as it is running the Railway Company to anormis Expence repairing and Replacing the Coupling Chains not only what is Lost or Broke upon there own Line but that are furnishing the waggons upon the Clarance Railway with Chains, J G. Being apprehensive that all was not Right went through the Clarance Line on Tusday Last and found nearly all the waggons belonging to the Crow Tree Colliery fit

up with Chains belonging to the Stockton & Darlington Railway Company and the Collieries connected with there Line J G Took from the above waggons and Colliery 142 Coupling Chains worth at Least 30 £
J G Begs to inform the Committee that complaints has been made against the Guard of the Shildon Coach Running at too Great Speed down the Incline Plain, he has been told not to do so different times as it is daingerous.
