which is as much or more than the three small Engines could do to hall the Coaches and goods as 10 Tons would be A sufficient Load for one of the Small Engines to travel up with
I would therefore recomend to the Company to only Lead the Carriers goods; and not to interfear with the coaches at Present as we are not prepared with Engine power to manage the whole I have consulted George Longstaff about the alteration and the only objection he has against it is the waggons finding and the responsability for damage don to goods while under the Companys servents care
Therfore I would recomend the Company to find waggons and Charge the

carriers 0¼d per ton per Mile or 3/- per week per waggon and take take [sic] all responsability upon themselves provided the waggons are loaded according to our directions
